Matt & Cessie are high school sweethearts, now married for 10 years, with 2 sons- Layne (4) and Landry (2). Long before children, we set out to find the best, healthy "pet hunting dog" we could find. As we began to dive into the world of Labrador Retrievers, we quickly realized there are 2 camps within this world- the show dogs and the hunting dogs. Neither of us loved the look of the "field dog", commonly, and not so correctly, referred to as an "American Lab", but were not so sure most show, "English Labs", could run across a field or swim to a duck without sinking like a rock! With more and more research, we stumbled upon and fell in love with the "Dual-Purpose" Labrador- the intent and correct form of the breed, a dog that can hunt and look good doing it! These dogs we fell in love with, and dedicated to advance with our own program, have balanced density & mass, personality and DRIVE! These dogs could leave the duck blind, still muddy, and take a ribbon in the show ring! We keep our program small, focused and categorically a hobby- we do not expect dogs to pay our mortgage! We spare no expense when it comes to testing, screening and going the extra mile to ensure we breed and deliver the best. Feel free to look around and reach out if you have any questions.
